The Bond-themed black tie Ball was held on November 5th and certainly went off with a bang. Treats such as Royale Roulette with a Champagne prize for every winner and the opportunity to be photographed in one of 2 Aston Martins (kindly loaned to us for the evening by Chair of the Governors, Andrew Higginson) ensured that this was another night to remember. A three course silver service dinner was followed by dancing to Little John and The Ram Band who managed to fill the floor until well past midnight.

Photographs of guests in James Bond guise (including the one above of PA Committee Members striking a pose) were taken by Karen Penn of Tinkerbell Photography and displayed to great hilarity on a big screen after dinner. Karen, who is a part-time teacher at RGS generously donated 50% of her profits on the night to the PA. Overall the event raised nearly £2,500 – so another big thank you to all who helped to organise the evening and those who chose to forego the fireworks and sparkle in aid of the RGSPA instead.
